Hard to open after freezing
Excellent item. The stainless steel is far better than any plastic. Ice comes out easy.I like it a lot.
Sometimes a little difficult to get the ice out...wish they were stackable....but since its made of metal the ice is formed pretty fast
I love these....use them to make ice EVERY day.I know some reviewers complain about how they are hard to "open" to get the ice out....some suggest let it sit on the counter for a few minutes. What works for me is to the full frozen tray and run it under water for about 1 sec and you hear the snap of the ice seperating from the tray. Then put it back in the tray and pull on the handle. Works for me every time. Perfect ice without any risk of microplastics.
Wow!! I am so happy that l purchased these! Very durable, the size of the cubes are perfect. My only complaint is that the edges are sharp. The design could be tweaked a bit.

So much easier to use than the plastic trays you need to flex that make getting ice out difficult. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the release lever works easily and perfectly to release the ice. Plus the handle on the release level has a cute Captain Cranberry etched into it AND included were two darling Captain Cranberry stickers. Again, extremely well made. A real value at the price.
A blast to the past that I just love! So sick of plastic ice trays that break and are hard to remove the ice. This is something I remember as a kid and went in search of them. They are perfect. Easy to remove the ice, the little ice trace stand is a great bonus making storing in the freezer very easy. Great quality and makes nice big ice cubes. So easy to use. You won’t regret this purchase.

I love this little tray so much! It makes the perfect sized ice cubes and it's so easy to pull the lever and release the cubes. It beats all the silicone trays I've thrown away over the years.
This is better than Mom's metal ice cube tray that I grew up with.With that one the cubes would always end up in pieces instead of cubes when the handle was pulled to release them. Please follow the tip in the instructions, to let the tray of ice sit for a minute or so at room temperature before pulling the handle to release. There you have it, no muscle needed and perfect ice cubes. Oh how I love products that do exactly what they say they will do. I have not found any downside to this product.
I really enjoy having a stainless steel ice cub tray and not have to use a plastic one. With plastic ice cube trays I’m afraid to ingest toxic plastic. I don’t have to worry with this one. This tray seems sturdy. Taste is better in my opinion.
Ice trays are great. The stand not so much. The 2nd/bottom level of the stand allows the tray to be slid into place which is great. The top level requires the tray to be tilted. It is only good for frozen cubes.
Very nice metal ice cube trays. The dividers seem thin and rather cheaply made compared to antique versions. I’m not sure how well they’ll hold up in the long run. I’ll update this if they break.
This is an excellent alternative to plastic and silicone and refrigerator generated ice. I purchased this ice tray so I can use reverse osmosis water to make ice. The quality is excellent, but a tad pricey. However, I can tell that this ice tray will hold up for a long time. It was worth the purchase in my opinion. The down side is, it can be a little challenging to get all the ice cubes without a little extra elbow grease. If you are on the weaker side, I do not recommend. I would definitely purchase again.
The ice maker on my 33-year-old SubZero broke. I've had 2 service calls and still have no ice. I started out buying bags of crushed ice, but that is a bad solution during a heat wave. I have some plastic ice trays, but am serious about reducing plastics in food storage. I tried a few silicone trays. They are annoying. Hard to remove the cubes, and of course the goal is not to keep the freezer drawer open unnecessarily. I had a stack of aluminum ice trays at one time. They were fine. I don't know if it's aluminum vs. stainless steel. Possibly, because this product is smooth, it is more difficult to open and empty into the freezer bin. It's not as good as it could be, but it's better than anything else I've tried.
