New Orleans Chicory Coffee
Bold and Distinctive
New Orleans chicory coffee is a beloved Southern tradition dating back to the Civil War when coffee was scarce and chicory root was used as a substitute. Today it's a deliberate choice — the roasted chicory adds a rich, slightly bitter, earthy depth to the coffee that's become inseparable from New Orleans culture. Traditionally served with hot milk as café au lait at the famous Café Du Monde.
