Iced Matcha with Matcha Ice Cubes
Green all the way down. Freeze whisked matcha into cubes so your iced matcha latte stays bright and never fades to pale as the ice melts. A stainless steel tray keeps the flavour clean.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 240ml water, cooled to about 80°C
- Milk of your choice, to serve
- Honey or syrup, optional
Instructions
- Sift the matcha, add the warm water and whisk until frothy.
- Pour the matcha into your stainless steel ice cube tray and freeze until solid.
- Release a few cubes into a glass and pour over cold milk.
- Sweeten to taste and stir until the cubes start to melt into the milk.
Tip: Freeze plain milk into cubes too, so nothing in the glass waters down.
