Herb and Citrus Ice for Water and Cocktails

Make water worth drinking. A cube of frozen lemon and mint turns a plain glass of water into something you actually reach for. The same cubes dress up a gin and tonic or a jug of sparkling water.

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon or lime, thinly sliced
  • A handful of fresh mint, basil or rosemary
  • Filtered water

Instructions

  1. Tuck a slice of citrus and a herb sprig into each slot of the tray.
  2. Top up with filtered water.
  3. Freeze until solid, about 4 hours.
  4. Add to still or sparkling water, or to a tall cocktail, and let it slowly release flavour.

Tip: Freeze a whole edible flower in a cube for a jug that looks after a party for you.
