Crema di Caffè (Frozen Coffee Cream)

Crema di Caffè is the ultimate Italian summer coffee treat — a frozen, creamy espresso slush found in virtually every café across southern Italy during summer.
Ingredients
- 200ml strong espresso, cooled
- 200ml heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Cool espresso, pour into ice cube trays, freeze 4 hours
- Whip cream with sugar and vanilla to soft peaks
- Pulse frozen espresso cubes in blender until slushy
- Fold espresso slush into whipped cream
- Spoon into glasses and serve immediately
